Teachers are held accountable to certain standards in the classroom, and at first when we talked about standards it SCARED me. This was my facial expression:

After discussing the Georgia Performance Standards in class, I feel more at ease with the whole concept of rules I will have to follow as a teacher. We noted that these are not boundaries, but rather options.

My love for teaching is actually focusing on English Language Arts Program and the GPS site featured here actually notes different SAT online help benefits, goals for teaching, lesson plans, and criteria.

More specifically, I will be focusing on Grade 7 because middle school students are my passion.

Middle School Instructional Resources is an interesting page that posts new updates and information concerning different standards that are made, but also they include lesson plans to help with difficult spots during the year. This is my new favorite Georgia Performance Standard webpage!

I now have a firmer foundation on what is expected of me as a teacher. I can do this!! Make sure to check out the website for Georgia Performance Standards.

The Georgia Department of Education is also a fantastic site that gives us services, materials, tips, standards, and lesson plans. They also point teachers and educators towards the GPS mentioned above.

Another interesting site I found was actually a site that held Q & A about the Georgia Performance Standards- I wish I had found this site first.
